The Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar Foundation is a nonprofit organization, which directs its efforts towards improving the quality of life for teenage mothers and children living in utter misery in the city of Cartagena, Colombia. This mission is accomplished by providing integral attention in areas of health, psychological and emotional support, and education in vocational and life skills. The Foundation was born in 2001 after the death of Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar, and began operations in 2002.
Since the Foundation’s inception, national and international entrepreneurs and public and private cooperation agencies have expressed great interest in addressing the numerous challenges faced by these adolescent mothers. They are committed to supporting the Foundation’s models of intervention, as well as to investing in sustainable social development.
